Worry

This ties into Toms' sermon yesterday about worry. I think women tend to worry more then men, or at least "show it more". BBT

We often think of great faith as something that happens spontaneously so that we can be used for a miracle or healing. However, the greatest faith of all, and the most effective, is to live day by day trusting Him. It is trusting Him so much that we look at every problem as an opportunity to see His work in our life. It is not worrying, but rather trusting and abiding in the peace of God that will crush anything that Satan tries to do to us. If the Lord created the world out of chaos, He can easily deal with any problem that we have.

  • Great thoughts Klover. I agree that women tend to show it more than men. We like to put up a stoic front, but often inside is turmoil.

  • I tried to worry once. Nothing happened. It has been stated that 87% of the things people worry about you have no control over.

  • Hey Kel, I want you to know that you are not alone. Men and women worry a lot differently. I know that I have a tendency to over compensate and to displace my feeling on other things. Women tend to share their feelings more so it is more apparent about their worries. By the way it was great having you guys at group last night. BBT

  • Enjoyed the group very much, even with the blissful background noise.

  • Great post...the worries seem to be getting to a lot of us lately...reminds me of the old "moron" jokes.

Why did the moron keep beating his head against the wall?

because it felt so good when he stopped:)))

  • It's hard not to worry. Being without a job and facing the mountain of bills can be overwhelming. Having to cast all cares on God and waiting for Him to answer takes lots of faith. I'm so glad I have lots of friends to kept us lifted in prayer. Thanks everyone. Love ya, lots!
