First of all your question is flawed. Anyone who knows about fowl understands the basic concept that they have this inherant need to cross roads. It's a survival instinct like the need for food and such. You see chickens can't help but to cross roads that's just what they do. This is why all good chicken farmers in America keep their chickens penned up, they don't want chicken ala road kill for dinner. Therefore the conclusion is that the question should be "Why wouldn't the chicken cross the road"? With the answer being because the chicken was in a pen! I hope this sheds a little light on this for you. I can follow up with the name of a good counselor if needed. BBT
Kelly, I was confused at first but then I realized that Russ being the blog master that he is put in links for his answers. If you go to each line and click on it then you will be linked to a cartoon that depicts in an amusing way the answer to the question "why did the chicken cross the road". You have to watch the Mud Puppy on these kinds of things. BBT
Why is it always the chicken? Why not the rooster or a duck? THe obvious answer is to get to my dinner table. I had chicken for dinner. What's next on the road kill menu?

yes, you're weird, but so am I, I guess.
A 2 year old chicken is pretty tough, maybe he is a tough guy with something to prove.
